Last year has really been an exciting year for us. Early on in the year, we relocated from the UK back to Malaysia. We'd spent a few months in Penang, soaking up all the heritage and charm that the Pearl of the Orient has to offer. It was an interesting time for us, as we reflect on our roots and connections with the Peranakan culture. You can see this being reflected in some of our designs as they took on distinctive Malayan-Nyona tones, shapes and colours. We wanted to pay homage to this amazing shared history by creating a pastiche that's contemporary and yet saturated with the cultural legacy of this bygone era.

We also had the chance to collaborate with Gordian Consultancy on a few of their branding projects. It was really exciting as we've not really done any corporate graphic design before tying up with them. As it turns out, we really enjoyed creating logos, corporate brands and various other branding and marketing materials for companies in all these different industries.

And on a more personal note, with our wedding just around the corner, we had fun working on (despite some professional differences...) all our wedding items like designing our invitation cards, favours, props and whatnots.

The new year holds many more exciting things, with more collaborations, projects, ideas and a tying of knot lining up!
